My thoughts are that you’ve completely misunderstood the contractual position.

I thought killing eve was ginormously overrated and while I probably will watch it I am not that fussed
also, there's something in the back of my mind about commercial bbc funding being a bit annoying?

Killing Eve was quite good as a thriller but was absolutely made by Jodie Comer’s face. She has impeccable comic timing.
It is hilarious how scouse she is irl

The Beeb is (despite the tons of money it gets from us people) actually quite tight.

I'm with ZG on this that you have misunderstood the position. BBC UK never owned the first season and haven't been outbid. What could happen is UK broadcast the day after the US and then full season dump on iplayer once broadcast of the full season is complete in the US.
Bit tuglight on this as I haven't even finished watching season 1.

As above because the beeb had such a big response with putting the whole series 1 on I player as a boxed set they want to do the same again. They can't do that until it's fully screened in US
If they wanted to show ep by ep they could.

I think you still don’t understand the contractual position.

Abe man is this gonna be a repeat of your Brexit climbdown?

Yeah the point is they don't *have* to because of anything to do with bbc America which is what your op said.
It's the beebs choice because of their preference to present the entire series as a boxed set
I can post it a third time if it helps
