We are seeking a Solicitor (2-4 years PQE) to join our reputable Commercial and Private Client Litigation team in Taunton or Bristol.
Spanning our Taunton, Bristol, Southampton, Manchester and Birmingham offices, our team have considerable experience in resolving disputes across a wide range of industries and sectors. You will be joining a team of 21 in Taunton, led by three Partners and further made up of Senior Associates, Associates, Trainee Solicitors, Paralegals and support staff.

Most of our people choose to work in a hybrid fashion, working from home and attending our offices on occasion. Our offices are in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton, and Taunton.
Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
As a Solicitor in this team you will enjoy access to a wide variety of dispute resolution work. We will enable you to build your career as a litigator with a stimulating caseload, working in sectors facing continuous regulatory change and other challenges. The team, ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners Directories, acts for businesses, landed estates, farms and private clients in relation to agriculture, rural property, private client, commercial and regulatory matters.
The range and quality of our caseload makes it an exceptional base to build a career in litigation. You will have your own caseload across the range of our specialism and the opportunity to support Partners, Senior Associates and Associates on more complex and large-scale claims. As you develop, if you wish to specialise more in one area, we will look to support that, but equally you could retain the broader spread if you prefer.
Beyond your caseload, we’ll expect you to get involved in a range of business development activities and play a full part as a member of a supportive team.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone with a passion for contentious work, initiative, pragmatism, common sense and excellent client skills, who is looking to build a career and develop a reputation within litigation.
This role is intellectually demanding, so we will look for a strong level of academic achievement, but you will be able to translate complex and technical information and problems into clear and simple advice and actions.
We will require you to be in the office approximately 2 days per week.
