when I bend over to pick something up, my lower back hurts

yes I did overexert myself yesterday but I often do that and this hasn't happened before

is this old age or can I do yoga to fix it?

damnit I keep having injuries, the advice keeps being to do weight training, I resolve to do it, forget and then do another injury

God's sake

still this is better than a fecked disc so thanks for the upbeat prognosis

I might get a weighted vest

This happened to me once after a long haul flight. I went to an osteo who said i had one leg longer than the other because one leg was sort of stuck up in the hip joint. He yanked out the leg in question then sort of pressed one hip down and sort of lay on me breathing for a bit, apparently to flatten out my body( which had been buckled in order to compensate for the stuck leg--or sth). I'm not sure the last part was necessary but it worked! Try seeing an osteopath?

Yes, it was a bit achy for a few days and one morning I'd just got out of the shower and noticed my phone was low on charge, I bent over to pick up the charging lead and BOOM, I've never experienced so much pain.  Why was the shower part relevant?  My poor flat mate had to dress me to take me to the hospital, he's never looked at me the same way..

Nothing that can't be solved by a Skarsgaard lookalike applying firm but gentle manipulation to your thoraco-lumbar fascia, latissimus dorsi and gluteus maximus.

NB. sudden multiple vertebral separation achieved via the application of swift osteopathic force is indeed alarming, but dumps a ridiculous amount of endorphins into your back/neck/wherever.  Maybe it's sheer relief at having escaped death.

I tolerated a couple of yrs of back pain. I also had one leg shorter than the other that messes with my hip alignmentZ referred to podiatrist for orthotics and no more pain

Rhamnousia - I am not risky.  I hail from that east coast Scottish city with a castle.  Yes, that one.

Hope (really do hope) that you are not being submerged in shite right now.
