After the first time I went, when I thought it was amazing, I've always thought it was an absolutely awful place full of awful people. Would rather get a few more runs in any time.
I go to Foulie Douce at least three times in any week I spend in a place that has a Folie Douce. I’m the opposite of a noob when it comes to skiing. HOWEVER i have never been a HUH! First lift guys? HUH! Might just get a few more runs in kind of tede. I usually get out at about 10, 90 min stop for lunch, either ski til 4 or stop about three at LFD or local equivalent.
We popped into LFD in Val d’Isere a couple of weeks ago to see what all the fuss is about. It is a thing to behold and worth a visit but we are not going back any time soon. I’m too old for that shizzle.
And if you’re in Tignes remember that Tommeuses shuts at 5pm sharp and has massive queues.

Great stuff. The burds seem to be more mental in that place than on a Malia jaunt.

the women here appear randier than a south african’s wallet
and everyone looks 30% more attractive in a ski resort

One of my favourite places.
I don't recall what rose I was drinking there a few weeks ago but I think it had a leopard on the bottle

OMG, my daughter is currently skiing in Val Thorens…
But she’s 26 and quite demure, and deffo would not twerk.
I will however tell her to watch out for a portly Englishman with over-sized skis going too fast for his ability.

People don’t look more attractive in ski resorts as it’s bloody hard to look good in insulated trousers.

there seems to be lots there who pull it off...so to speak

People definitely do, and it is in no way difficult to look good in ski gear
both contentions scientifically proven, sozmax

I much prefer Rondpoint or Mooserwirt.

Yes- Rondpoint when Mullit are in town. And it's at the bottom of the slope so you can nip in after the lifts close.

cool story bro...the 9-10 slot is the best of the day

9 to 10 is the worst time to be getting on your first lift. You're in with all the ski school people skipping the queue holding everything up.
You either need to be ahead of that wave or behind it. 8.45 latest or 10 o'clock onwards.

rare agree with Amit tbh, I can see some merit in 8:45 if that’s your bag.
10:30 here. I’m just stepping out

Personally I prefer 11am for a quick run or two then a refreshment break then a run to lunch and then after lunch a quick ski to your chosen apres.

I love these places one minute I’m cruising down a blue run admiring the scenery next minute I’m in a nightclub. Magic.
