If you've not seen Mother!, approach with caution and don't be fooled by Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem as the leads, it's one of the most messed up films I've ever seen. If you have, it's too late.
The Shawshank Redemption is mawkish, cloying shite. Usual Suspects is up there. The Mist probably wins in terms of nasty gut punch endings, edging out Se7en.
That’s interesting iregistered because I think it’s the culmination of every aspect of the plot and the crescendo of Hans Zimmer’s music with that paired perfectly with final piecing note of Time
The ending of Inception was breathtakingly good. The fact that nerds have picked it apart for years afterwards and studied the film obsessively seeking the answer to the question it poses just proves it.
The film is full of plot holes and the mechanics around time and waking from dreams is a bit clunky and broken but it doesn't matter.

I have blocked Mother! from my memory. Demented film.

I read about it rather than watching it. Apparently it’s allegorical.

Watch with mother. That takes me back.
How the BBC ever commissioned it.

True story, I accidentally selected both Irreversible and Mother! for different 'movie dates', many years apart.
I have never seen either again, films nor dates.

Fiorentino was involved in an FBI thing. Lucky she didn't go to gaol.

Inception was an awesome movie throughout, but I wouldn’t have singled out the ending for special praise.
+1 for Breaking Bad. And adding Better Caul Saul.
