tried them all ++ and zopiclone works the best for me. unpleasant metallic taste in the mouth in the morning but no other side effects. I suffered from none of the 'spacey' feelings many others report the morning after, but I was a heavy boozer &c for years so I wouldn't really notice.
can recommend for short-term use if your sleep is just worry-related.

I have tried chemical nytol, melatonin, and CBD oil over the years. CBD oil is the best by far.

Dormeasan (valerian and hops) - not perfect but preferable to taking nytol etc on the regular.

Proper exhaustion so at the weekend a good gym session followed by a couple of dog walks and several hours of something physical in the garden.

I had a period of rubbish sleeping. Would recommend following. I am not good without sleep physically or mentally so really focus on getting 8 hrs.
Double daily exercise
glass of milk
1 ibuprofen and 1 aspirin/paracetamol
meditation to sleep and stop anxiety - see you tube.
No booze
clean cool bedding
Open window
If you wake up get up. Don’t lie in bed worrying if you can’t sleep.

Melatonin occasionally if I think I might not sleep (e.g. stressed, jet lagged, end of a boozy few days etc.).
Works pretty much every time for me. Take the slow release type and it generally keeps me out for 8 hours.

When Mrs P is determined to have a full night’s sleep she takes an anti-histamine. Takes her a while to come to, the following day though.

Since giving up drinking, I sleep really deeply for 7 or 8 hours straight.
