Years to prepare, IDF telegraphing they will come in, Hezbollah likely to intervene, Street / tunnel fighting which will limit use of air power and artillery?
Plus pressure from rest of world inc Uncle Sam yo show restraint.
Israel can successfully take some degree of control of all of Gaza if it wants to and and is willing to absorb the casualties in the IDF (which I think in their current fury they are) I suspect they will find a way to kill most of the current leadership of Hamas. I also very much fear that something every bit as extreme and hateful will rise from the destroyed ashes of Gaza. It may or may not call itself Hamas.
I do not for a moment think Israel will find a way to kill most of the current leadership of Hamas. Wouldn’t be sorry if they did, but most of the current leadership of Hamas aren’t even in Gaza are they? I assume they’re not,

No, Israel have this.
They have evacuated the Northern half.
They blow up/drown/fill the tunnels, and build a 250m buffer free-fire zone within Gaza.
Move everyone back North again, and repeat in the south.
Sorted.

Can Hamas win is the stupidest thing you've ever posted Cliverisky. Their primary war goal is the eradication of Israel as a state. Come on, man.

Heh brickbats from all. I should have clarified by win I meant beat back or survive the Israeli assault and retain control of Gaza.

Israel has never been above a bit of extra territorial activity on that front and Qatar is not immune to international pressure either.

Oracle didn't bibi want Hamas to stay in power as it gave him an excuse to block any peace process. That has changed now.

Qatar is a bridgehead state with the sole purpose of washing dirty funds towards the West. Having it all ways.
