Contempt for the conmen and compassion for the conned. Now it's time to unwind this grievous error.

Lol that they want us back now
Of course they would want us back. Despite the best efforts of the idiots who have been running the UK since the referendum it is still a major European economy and the EU would be much stronger with the UK in it. The question would be on what terms. The real question would be whether we would be forced to adopt the Euro. At current exchange rates I think that would be hugely problematic for the UK given the level of UK public debt.
why didn’t give us more concessions to keep us in — ever closer union was the mantra that drove us out. Guy Verhofstadt could start by asking whether the EU was too inflexible rather than just blaming Cameron etc
We'd be stupid not to accept invite to return work open arms
Starmer to write a cheque and get it done
Vote labour
Blaming the EU, risky, for us voting out is a logic stretch even for brexiteers
We had the concessions. Now we have disadvantageous trade deals with Tuvalu
If we went back in on improved terms the EU might ask itself whether they should have just given us those in the first place
If you study the lead up to the referendum it was precisely the EU’s inflexibility that left Cameron with no choice but to call a referendum
No it wasn’t. Ffs. Cameron failed to face down his MPs. The man is an utter failure - privileged from birth, entirely devoid of anything other than bullshitting bluster, no judgment whatsoever, no noblesse oblige, no talent.
We'd go back on worse terms, and it would be infinitely better than this. Lol at the racists who pushed us to 7 years of shit, to get our old gig back on worse terms.
I mean look, the utter joke, the hubris, the stupidity, the sheer fvcking ignorance of more than half of the country as to our true value internationally that led to Leave winning - albeit with a bump from the Russians and spineless Cameron. If this country had any self respect it would be rooting out these grifters and idiots and deporting them.
When economic conditions improve I expect the gap in his graph will close again just as it widened after 2021 when economic conditions deteriorated
’When economic conditions improve’
lol @ the people who told us it would be an immediate success now telling us it will be a medium-term success
i do hope we will treat their opinions with the appropriate level of respect
Hahahaha the lack of self reflection from brexiteers is almost anti-vaccer level of idiocy
Well Germanys not doing too great right now is it
These people are complete fvcking idiots and need to be removed from society, along with Brexit MPs like Sunak and his billionaire cronies who make money from others’ misery. Get out. You have no place in a civilised society. If you are so sure you have succeeded by your own graft then you have nothing to fear from a free market, but the reality is you’ve exploited others. Fvck off.
We aren't going back on improved terms
We are going back on the same terms as any new joiner
We gave up our privileges due to racists and idiots

BDS is just another strand of the culture wars
Pointing out the dire economic effects of your policy despite all the outlandish promises to the contrary is not another strand of the cULtUrE WaRs
hth
Is Germany angling to sort out its economy with a good solid Gerxit? I expect the Bamford at AfD is all for it.
They couldn’t promise anything, because it wasn’t theirs to deliver. Total con job from start to finish. Anyone believing them was a fool and those not needing to believe them because they were going to profit anyway should be deported.
I don't understand why Starmer hasn't gone pro-single market
who does he think he is pandering to at this point?
it might balance out his mad oil stuff
To where - Rwanda?
Russia
Starmer isn’t going to rejoin the eu because his party is split on the point
There are some idiots in the Labour Party who need to be deported as well apparently
Who in the Labour Party still supports Brexit ffs?
fvckwits like hoey, corbyn and Wrong-daily that’s who
they should all be in gaol anyway
From where else are we going to get pushed pineapples and ground coffee?
Super left, racist right, jump up and down on runnersknee
normally find him an unbearably smug twot, but janan ganesh wrote an (I thought) accurate column the other week about how labour need to maintain the omerta about brexit until probably the election after this

They need to play to the fiction until the fiction is a vote loser. That seems to be the case now.
@ Donny: ELI5 if you would.
Corbyn is pro-EU? When did he change horses?
WHY DIDN’T THEY SURRENDER?!?
THEY ONLY HAVE THEMSELVES TO BLAME!!
Sorry about that last post. I didn't realise my brain got fried when I was sunburned on Sunday. What a dickhead.
Many brexiteers new full well it was not in the UKs interest to leave - including Bozo - who sacrificed the interests of his country to personal ambition. He should be imprisoned for treason.
knew ffs
YOU ACTUALLY EXPECT US TO BELIEVE THAT BORIS JOHNSON WOULD PUT HIS OWN SELF INTEREST AND AMBITION AHEAD OF THE INTERESTS OF HIS COUNTRY?!?
SURELY - SURELY! - YOU DON’T THINK THAT ANYONE WILL FIND THAT REMOTELY PLAUSIBLE?!?
REMEMBER HOW JOYFUL BORIS JOHNSON AND MICHAEL GOVE WERE WHEN THEY REALISED LEAVE HAD WON: I HAD NEVER BEFORE SEEN SUCH EXPRESSIONS OF GENUINE EUPHORIA!!
Had the Luxembourg tax cheat not boasted about Cameron not having obtained any concessions, the Brexit vote would have gone the other way. I know for some people that was the last straw.
Heh. Good work by BREXITBREXIT.
Does Guy Verhofstadt represent the views of the EU’s leadership?
Economic interest. But, sovereignty... There definitely were voices saying that it would be better for the country to suffer some economic pain in order to "govern itself". I'm not sure they anticipated just how much economic pain would happen though (nor how constrained we would be in "governing ourself").
I suppose when we are a complete basket case, PIGS in 2008 level, having to adopt the euro won't matter. A lot of that romanticism probably ended when Queenie kicked the bucket anyway. Nor will "having to give money to the EU" - because we'll be net receivers by then.
i'd be well up for having the Euro
Euro would be frickin' ace.
Pez, some were stupid enough to believe that, but many did not even believe that. Bozo obviously made the decision for political reasons, and did not expect to succeed.
ECONOMIC PAIN? ECONOMIC PAIN?!?
SURELY YOU AREN’T TRYING TO RESURRECT THAT PROJECT FEAR NONSENSE NOW THAT WE’RE ENJOYING THE SUNLIT UPLANDS AND THE PROMISED £350 MILLION EXTRA A WEEK FOR THE NHS!!
IT WAS WORTH IT TO
HAVE A POINTS BASED IMMIGRATION SYSTEMKEEP THEM OUT!... oh...
