Brexit was a cynical dereliction of duty by our leaders

Contempt for the conmen and compassion for the conned. Now it's time to unwind this grievous error.

Of course they would want us back. Despite the best efforts of the idiots who have been running the UK since the referendum it is still a major European economy and the EU would be much stronger with the UK in it. The question would be on what terms.  The real question would be whether we would be forced to adopt the Euro. At current exchange rates I think that would be hugely problematic for the UK given the level of UK public debt.

why didn’t give us more concessions to keep us in — ever closer union was the mantra that drove us out. Guy Verhofstadt could start by asking whether the EU was too inflexible rather than just blaming Cameron etc

No it wasn’t. Ffs. Cameron failed to face down his MPs. The man is an utter failure - privileged from birth, entirely devoid of anything other than bullshitting bluster, no judgment whatsoever, no noblesse oblige, no talent.

We'd go back on worse terms, and it would be infinitely better than this. Lol at the racists who pushed us to 7 years of shit, to get our old gig back on worse terms.

I mean look, the utter joke, the hubris, the stupidity, the sheer fvcking ignorance of more than half of the country as to our true value internationally that led to Leave winning - albeit with a bump from the Russians and spineless Cameron. If this country had any self respect it would be rooting out these grifters and idiots and deporting them.

’When economic conditions improve’

lol @ the people who told us it would be an immediate success now telling us it will be a medium-term success

i do hope we will treat their opinions with the appropriate level of respect

These people are complete fvcking idiots and need to be removed from society, along with Brexit MPs like Sunak and his billionaire cronies who make money from others’ misery. Get out. You have no place in a civilised society. If you are so sure you have succeeded by your own graft then you have nothing to fear from a free market, but the reality is you’ve exploited others. Fvck off.

We aren't going back on improved terms

We are going back on the same terms as any new joiner

We gave up our privileges due to racists and idiots

They couldn’t promise anything, because it wasn’t theirs to deliver. Total con job from start to finish. Anyone believing them was a fool and those not needing to believe them because they were going to profit anyway should be deported.

Many brexiteers new full well it was not in the UKs interest to leave - including Bozo - who sacrificed the interests of his country to personal ambition. He should be imprisoned for treason.

YOU ACTUALLY EXPECT US TO BELIEVE THAT BORIS JOHNSON WOULD PUT HIS OWN SELF INTEREST AND AMBITION AHEAD OF THE INTERESTS OF HIS COUNTRY?!?

SURELY - SURELY! - YOU DON’T THINK THAT ANYONE WILL FIND THAT REMOTELY PLAUSIBLE?!?

Blaming the EU, risky, for us voting out is a logic stretch even for brexiteers

Had the Luxembourg tax cheat not boasted about Cameron not having obtained any concessions, the Brexit vote would have gone the other way.  I know for some people that was the last straw.

Economic interest.  But, sovereignty... There definitely were voices saying that it would be better for the country to suffer some economic pain in order to "govern itself".  I'm not sure they anticipated just how much economic pain would happen though (nor how constrained we would be in "governing ourself").

I suppose when we are a complete basket case, PIGS in 2008 level, having to adopt the euro won't matter.  A lot of that romanticism probably ended when Queenie kicked the bucket anyway.  Nor will "having to give money to the EU" - because we'll be net receivers by then.

Pez, some were stupid enough to believe that, but many did not even believe that.  Bozo obviously made the decision for political reasons, and did not expect to succeed.

ECONOMIC PAIN? ECONOMIC PAIN?!?

SURELY YOU AREN’T TRYING TO RESURRECT THAT PROJECT FEAR NONSENSE NOW THAT WE’RE ENJOYING THE SUNLIT UPLANDS AND THE PROMISED £350 MILLION EXTRA A WEEK FOR THE NHS!!
