Why would anyone knowingly not live their best life? It always makes me think there must be people choosing to be a bit miserable as they have decided not to make the best of what they've got.
I have a pretty awesome life all in. Things I still want to do, things I plan to change, but all my basic needs are covered and everyone is currently healthy. Can’t ask for much more than that really.
I want to spend 6 months over the winter in Thailand...kickboxing class every day, getting ripped, tanning, hanging out of...you dig me. I can afford to do it now but hard with kids currently and I like to be a present father. Also I'm earning good wedge and keep thinking another few years of this makes retirement even better.
So to answer...no I'm not currently...but there is a plan which I will execute.
It's just a euphemism for being massively selfish, right?
"Where's Gemma? I haven't seen her for ages."
"She's in Turkey. Her nan gave her some money for the kids' Christmas presents, but she said she wanted to spend it on getting getting her teeth and tits done, so that she could bag herself a better man and a better future for them. She's really living her best life."

I thought this phrase was only used by a certain sort of woman posting videos of her dog on social media?

It’s a specious expression at best, at worst designed to gaslight. No prizes for guessing who deployed it on here most frequently

No, because sometimes life just deals you a terrible hand and there’s nothing you can do about it. Building back stronger maybe.

I expect very few people are stubborn enough and inconsiderate enough to do exactly as they please. If that’s what you mean

Getting slightly sidetracked, but is the sequel to Train to Busan any good?

PP that's hardly a new phenomenon. I did something similar twenty years ago.

I liked zom100
it wasn't like groundbreaking but it was cute
I was struck by how much more ordinary-looking the actors were than the ones you get in Korean equivalents, though
train to busan too scary

We totally need Ego to implement the Thailand protocol.
