Hundreds of lawyers and non-fee-earners in Australia have rated their firms in the RollOnFriday Firm of the Year 2015 survey.

Only one can take the title, and this year it is Marque Lawyers, winning the crown for an incredible fourth year in a row with a superb 96% overall score.

Marque staff gave their firm more than 90% in every category. The highest score, a perfect 100, was reserved for its biscuits. Although the term 'biscuits' apparently doesn't do justice to the standard of treat on offer. "Biscuits are lame", crows one lawyer, explaining that in 2014 "we've enjoyed Oaty Caramel Slice from Palamino, Gelato Messina, Central Baking Depot sausage rolls and a Mezzapica baked ricotta cheesecake".

Staff are vocal about the cohesive, friendly culture, citing a "lack of of tribalism" and a calendar stuffed with extra-curricular hijinks. "More social functions than any firm in the world" is how one lawyer puts it, with highlights including an "impromptu" drinking session at the Managing Partner's desk which left it "covered in sticky schnapps and shot glasses", and a retreat spent "dancing in a national park with Gandalf".

Winning the Firm of the Year crown once might be luck, but holding onto it for four years in a row looks a lot like Marque is indeed, as one lawyer claims, "seriously the best place to be in private practice". Managing Partner Michael Bradley told RollOnFriday, “Now we know how excited Prince Philip must have been to collect his fourth knighthood.  I’d like to acknowledge our staff for continuing to eat their body weight in all the free food we throw at them but never taking it for granted.  Surely it can no longer be doubted that law, cake and vodka are a potent mix for enduring success”.

Meanwhile Maddocks has roared from fourth place last year into second, with staff claiming, "If you have to work, there is nowhere nicer to work than Maddocks". It does sound jolly pleasant. Apparently "everyone is equal", drinks are "shared among colleagues" (not sure that's a good thing) and "laughter can always be heard in the tea rooms". Over 100 staff wrote in from the firm, with most full of praise for everything from the "lovely office environment" to the "great people". And most of all for 4pm finishes on Fridays in the summer: "so much better than a cruddy Christmas Gift".

Congratulations are also due to Lavan Legal, which claimed third place. Though the question remains: will any firm other than Marque ever win the title again?

They look like a right bunch of jokers. Probably a really relaxed place to work at though, and finishing at 4pm with Circular Quay during the summer just a couple of streets below must be a worthwhile perk.

Marque trades on this awesome image. However, at the end of the day, they're still the scum bag firm that tried to bully downloaders into paying unjust compensation for some shit movie last year.

If they were truly the "trendy" and "alternative" firm they want us to believe they are, they would have told the client to get over it, and not waste their money trying to attack minimum wage earners who just want to download a torrent.
