We are looking for a Wealth Planner based in Guernsey (ideal) or London, to reinforce our global Wealth Planning team:
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Client Services teams in order to provide guidance on complex trust structures, portfolio restructures and the preparation of technical correspondence.
- Managing internal client and assets acceptance procedures, preparation of necessary documents for the clients and structures on-boarding, interaction with compliance, legal and wealth planning colleagues with respect thereto
- Participation in wealth planning reviews of the existing fiduciary structures
- Preparation of trust-related documents for setting-up new fiduciary structures and
implementing changes in the existing fiduciary structures in close collaboration with relevant Wealth Planning team members group-wide - Liaising with client advisors (including lawyers, accountants and other advisors) in relation to client matters / structures, and reviewing / implementing written advice provided
- Monitoring developments in regulatory, legal and tax areas in assigned regions and
supervising the implementation of necessary changes in order to achieve clients’ long-term goals - Participation in advisory projects such as strategic succession and contingency planning,
stress-testing (health check) fiduciary structures and family governance projects.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 - 7 years’ experience and relevant private client experience
- Ideal candidate should have a good intermediary network in the fiduciary and financial services industry including law firms, accounting firms, multi / single family offices and private banks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent collaboration, project management and problem-solving skills
- Strong advisory skills
- Languages: Fluency in English, any other language a plus
- Personality: highly proactive, self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset, independent, versatile, flexible and pragmatic approach, ‘can do’ attitude, team-player, solution focused individual
