Ok, so summer might be on its way, well, in theory that is. So just as you’re contemplating getting down to your smalls for some city park sun bathing (we call them togs here ...) does the idea of starting or returning to work on the other side of the world tempt you?
We’re on the hunt for lawyers (ranging from 3 to 10 years' PQE), preferably with a background in commercial and/or corporate law (esp. structuring and capital raising). Those with experience in technology, media and/or IP law will go to the top of the pile!
About us
Hudson Gavin Martin is a leading and fast-growing technology and IP boutique law firm based in the heart of Auckland City. You'll be part of a close-knit team, there are 26 of us to be exact (including six partners). We're all passionate about our clients, the work we do and our friendly working environment which we believe sets us apart from other firms in the market. We're a great bunch, social and have each others' backs - something that's a rare find especially in the larger firms. Check out our website for more about the firm.
About you
You’ll need to:
- be confident with the terminology associated with high-tech industries or passionate about learning specific skills in this area.
- have a hands-on working style, as the nature of the work is varied so you’ll need to be responsive.
- be great with people, as we proactively encourage our seniors to support and develop our junior team and interact directly with clients.
Top salary and other benefits, including working in a relaxed and fun environment, are a given.
About the work
You’ll get to work on a variety of interesting and topical work (e.g. commercialisation matters relating to emerging tech, cyber security, data security and privacy, hardware acquisition, software licensing, system implementations and, to coin a phrase, business transformation projects).
Clients range from start-up to established and multinational businesses. We're in an enviable position of working with local and international clients on phenomenal work that is often ground-breaking for their respective industries, our clients’ businesses and for New Zealand.
