The team

The role is within the newly merged Knowledge Management and Web Services department, that was previously the KM and Web and Intranet teams. The role is predominantly library/information management focused, working closely with the Knowledge Assistant, but also includes project work involving legal knowhow and its facilitation on the firms’ intranet.

The opportunity

To be the ultimate first point of contact for all intranet requests and edits. To learn and be the firm’s expert content manager on the bespoke WordPress intranet (technical / coding skills not required for this role).

Frequent tasks will include:

  • Updating and keeping track of key digital content including policies, official documents and knowhow
  • Simple edits such as adding news and calendar items
  • More complex edits such as creating new pages and areas
  • Assisting legal teams and PSLs with knowledge requests related to the intranet
  • Providing training to departmental editors and demonstrating to new joiners

 

Must also have a keen interest in library / information work as the role will involve picking up regular KM tasks. These may include:

  • Current awareness
  • Assembly of knowledge sharing packs
  • Responsibility for subscriptions
  • Assistance with maintaining the hardcopy collection and work on the library management system
Who we are looking for
  • Either:
    • Some previous KM / library/ intranet experience (ideally in a professional services environment)
    • Previous experience or keen interest in systems (specifically) intranets / content management systems / library management systems (ideally in a professional services environment)
  • Eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills:
    • Confidence communicating with people at all levels
    • Ability to explain technical concepts in layman terms
  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Experience using WordPress would be highly advantageous but full training will be provided
