The first day back to work after Christmas is traditionally the busiest time of year for divorce lawyers. Enforced togetherness over the festive period apparently does not always bring out the best in married couples.

And one law firm in particular was keen to get in on the action early and sow the seeds of relationship doubt even before the turkeys had been purchased and the Christmas trees erected.

With that roaring fire, those pretty wreaths and the lovely stockings hanging from the mantelpiece, it's a happy and festive scene (although Santa's probably going to get singed).
