In case you needed to know.

In this week's round-up of other stuff ROF has received: accusations of bad behaviour, and a useful clarification on marriage.

Just because metoo is out of the headlines, it doesn’t mean there aren’t still (and, it seems safe to say, always will be) male lawyers unable to keep their hands to themselves. A partner at a City firm who was previously sanctioned for snogging in front of trainees has been quietly ejected “after groping a young member of his team at a staff function”, a source tells ROF.

“No money. No niceties”.

Apparently, “his rep for this gross, usually drunken behaviour is well known - and a lot of women are breathing a sigh of relief that the oily, creepy letch is no longer around”. If you know who we’re on about, feel free to submit a corroborating account.

It's not a UK-only issue. Detailed testimony has reached ROF of an alleged incident at an international firm’s summer party in Brussels where a senior male partner was witnessed harassing a junior colleague.

“The harassment involved putting his hands above her knee, slapping her butt, hugging her from behind and holding tight on her belly while pressing his genitals on her back", claimed an anonymous source. He was "talking about sexual topics non-stop and forcing the conversation in that direction”, they said.

The woman was “scared and unsure how to react” and “tried to leave as soon as possible", but she "kept professional and polite in order not to offend the partner”, said the insider.

There are even photos, apparently, but the source declined to send them to ROF in order to protect the identity of the alleged victim (to that source: we can redact them or not publish, so do feel free to provide).

On a lighter note: incest. Thanks to the source who sent in this video for all our readers from Norfolk (my home county, before they get their pitchforks):

Hawkins Ryan Solicitors captions the video by stating that it's part of a series "answering some of your most googled legal questions". Which is slightly worrying.

Sorry, the survey is now closed. Thanks for trying! But you are too late. Why, why so late?

"And there will also be female lawyers unable to keep their hands to themselves as well."

One can only hope.
