Worst election ever?

This is the worst in my memory - thought 2017 was bad but Johnson 10x worse than May, a proven liar,  a huge danger to the country generally  and an existential danger to the United Kingdom.  Liberals have thrown away a strong position by picking an uncharasmatic leader and adopting a position on brexit seemingly nobody in the country agrees with them on.  The optimism of the Labour 2017 campaign has gone replaced by ever more unrealistic policies and a brexit fudge.   Wherever you stand on brexit whatever your politics it is a depressing  picture

A hung parliament and a referendum ( which is what we should have had instead of an election in the first place )  may be the only saving grace of this election

Shut up Guy.

All election are the same, this is not the worst you just know that the "baddies" will win because the opposition is so utterly dreadful.

In the same way Trump is the fault of the idiots who put Hillary up for election, Labour and Corbyn are responsible for being so toxic and untrustworthy that millions will vote for a aunt like boz.

No the Tories will win because the brexit vote is all falling behind in behind them while the remain vote is split and our electoral system is not fit for purpose.

Hung Parliament is very much the likely outcome. I read somewhere there are probably 40k votes in it, and that was before yesterday's antics. A lot of hesitant Tory voters will stay home.

No good options is a key part - clegg Cameron and millliband all turned out to be shot for different reasons but they look like titans compared to the current crop that seem like overgrown sixth formers playing at politics

I disagree that Cameron looks like a titan compared to the current crop, but Clegg and Miliband certainly do.

Cameron is the twot who got us into this mess and then fooked off.

2017 was brilliant you absolute gaper. It was obvious May was going to get gunked like it was a Fun House with Pat Sharp all over again and when the flash opinion polls came out saying hung parliament it was schadenfreude BWAH HA HA HA city, we could all just see Paul Dacre’s face.

2015 was fooking shite. Miliband has the best policies and was the victim of a fooking nasty camping.

Hilary Clinton was one of the most accomplished and qualified presidential candidates ever put forward, and she won the popular vote.

otherwise gr8 post wibble ?

I agree with the OP.  Yes, there is always "electioneering" but the repetition of outright lies by Johnson is new and hideous.  (40 new hospitals, 50k nurses, get brexit done, etc etc).   The bbc are continuing with their ridiculously one-sided vox pops of people in leave-voting areas saying they will vote tory.

May also looks like a titan in comparison.

The Ed Stone though. Aarrgghhhh.

Would 1000000000x rather have had Ed Miliband as prime minister though, even if he did have some prattish moments. Far more competent than any of the current shower, and I believe his heart is in the right place, which seems quite rare in a politician.
