Woodstock '99

Amazing documentary on Netflix.

Imagine running an event with 150,000 drunk, high, dehydrated, hot, hungry, angry people who are living in their own filth and letting Limp Bizkit on stage to play Break Stuff.

i thought it was entertaining but a bit silly. it seemed to lay fault for the fiasco mostly at the feet of limp bizkit for being a dangerous band whose evil toxicity drove people insane.

remember the debates about whether to see Muse or Oasis?

Nah, within the space of a year I'd abandoned  indie music so didn't bother seeing either of them. Still wouldn't.

Wouldnt describe either Oasis or Muse as “indie music” they are both extremely mainstream commercial rock bands

Fine. I'd abandoned listening to shite bands. Happy?

Heh. I was at Leeds festival that year. Couldn’t be arsed with RHCP, we watched them for about 5 minutes and then went home.

The Chemical Brothers on the Friday night however were life/brain changing. Best act I’ve ever seen.
