who knows about thailand?

I have got a few questions

where/how can I get weed on ko samui? should I or is it too risky or too much of a hassle?

what about bringing weed there? do you reckon they check the luggage of incoming tourists?

If you are on the beach and someone copes up to you with an offer to sell but then says that they need to go and get it, it is obviously a scam. There a lot of scams running so walk away from anything that doesn't seem 100% legit.

Have you learned nothing from The Bridget Jones Diary (2).  I don't think Colin Firth is going to be getting your aids ridden behind out of the Bangkok Hilton.

Railay will have better snorkelling/scuba, better scenery, fewer people, no cars, fewer chavs. It is much much more chilled out and weed is much easier to come by.

If you have any interest in rock climbing it is absolutely world class.

It is about the same distance from Bangkok as Samui but it is on the other side of the peninsula.

Koh Samui is busy and built up and full of obnoxious twots on package holidays.

Railay is like Portofino, Samui like Benidorm.

Do a google image search of Railay and you'll see what I mean.

It isn't a dump, but it is much more built up than most pictures will show. I'm sure that there are places on the island where you go to escape it all, but you'd need a car or motorbike.

I have always just found it a bit loud and soulless. The first time I went to Thailand we were due to spend 2 weeks there and then ended up fooking off after 3 days back to krabi, where we had spent the previous month.

This was back in the 90s and Krabi is much more built up now than it was then, but it is still chilled out and car free.

Put another way, if the Inbetweeners were to go to Thailand, Jay would take them all to Koh Samui.

Depends what you want in Koh Samui.  There are some very nice resorts (particularly Napasi) if you are going to flop on a beach for a week but the towns don't really have much to commend them and the nightlife was very p1ssed up brit/german chav and a bit seedy.
