What is the appeal of Andy Burnham?

I mean he seems ok, but I don't see anything special.

He’s not a complete left wing fooking round the twist Marxist loony and has some leadership experience.

Ummm he believes in nationalising everything and a massive wealth tax

Reasonably charismatic reasonably moderate politician who has shown he can run a reasonably large town without screwing it up or doing anything extraordinary.

People from across the political spectrum rate him and vote for him. That's quite rare.

The attraction is people can’t tell how crap he is. My bet is there’s a massive Russian troll bot force underpinning his supposed rating. This country is at imminent risk of surrender to the Russians.

He's a bit like Papa Bouba Dioup. Impressive nickname but always likely to disappoint.

American Express? And would you like to rub my tits too? That’ll do nicely

I’ve got news for you. He’s in the thick of it.

I don’t know tbh - re the OP. He always seems to lack ambition at the killer moment. He could have done with being more of a mace-grabber. Suspect the Manchester sinecure suits him at heart

Marshall he’s not Mancunian he’s a scouser

I hope they have better security these days at St Stephen’s then

he was the genius who got Corbyn on the post milliband ballot and crashed out of the leadership race as a result

I assume the Amex reference is some old man thing is it?

"Dull and limited Mancunian"

How to show your posts are reflex actions which simply passed through your spinal cortex and generated a primitive response rather than spending a single moment within the frontal lobe.

Wot Buzz said.

Just "Mancunian" would have done just as well.

He gets along with Tommy Fleetwood. Hoping to bring some more big golfing events North.

Wants to nationalise wverything

So called growth model of his literally tax and spend - Reeves' version but on steroids. For manchester his modus was spend spend spend. He did provide more buses though.

A softer version to present communists and unions. He wears glasses. What's not to like.

Significant rise in tax bill. And still raid on Sterling expected.

He's the "King of the North" so some northern labour MPs may think they have a better chance of holding on at the next general election with him

he's probably their best bet for leading coalition after next ge

As a Pompey fan I take issue with this characterisation.
