Or allow nature to take its course and emerge with a healthier flock in a generation or two, which won't require such a pampering health system. Both the populace and the health system will be leaner, stronger, more efficient. 

Laz, why not just cryogenically freeze anyone who is feeling a bit poorly until clever future beings (human or mechanical) have developed a treatment for their ailment?

Oh wait!  It only works for Public Sector workers who would receive sick pay indefinitely and still be classified as employed. For anyone else once their cover ran out they'd be classified as unemployed and the Government would not like that number to steadily rise ...
