I'm thinking of anywhere also that does late drinks, not clubs! It seems it is a backwater, where people are mostly interested in visiting the civic centre FFS!
Trowbridge has a wonderful museum of carrots. and in the church there is an interesting display of antique russian icons. Further, in the Old Goblet public house, they still serve pickled eggs.

Small town there will be somewhere that's open late but you'll need to know some locals as it won't officially be open late.
