Totally inconsequential things you learned today

I learned that the song Dream On was written by Steve Tyler and performed by Aerosmith in 1973. I thought it was written and performed by Led Zeppelin. I figured I was perhaps mistaken about the songwriter but had been listening to Led Zeppelin's cover all these years. Led Zeppelin never covered the song.

I was floored as I love this song and have sang my heart out to it many times.

Totally inconsequential.

I was in bar once on a table next to Liv Tyler.  It was about 1997 and we were interrailing - this stop, prague.  My m7 Dave went over to try and chat her up.  for reasons best known to dave, he decided on the walk between tables that his best shot of a snog was to approach her and say, in german, hey Liv i love your dad, he rocks.

dave did not snog liv tyler.

she was, tho, for the record, absolutely stonkingly smoking hot.

Monkers watch the video for Crazy.  I know strutz has...

Strutter, no I'm one of those people who just you-tubed Mama Kin (live '77) because I've never heard it.

*hangs head in shame*

Steve Tyler rocks though. 'kin 'ell

I know the song Crazy, but have never seen the clip, until just now. Even when Eminem released "Sing for the moment" I didn't twig.

In all honesty, I really only "knew" them from Walk This Way. I just thought they were a bit too cock rock for me, so never bothered.  Except it turns out they wrote one of my favourite songs.

See I love stuff that like that Chambers. There's a guy here, Glenn A Baker, who is a music historian and he has (my definition of) the perfect job. Imagine having the time to dig around for facts and trivia about rock stars.

Man.... if I had my time again.

I've just re watched it heff (strictly for the purposes of research).  It is, on reflection, a fckng weird thing to cast one's own daughter in.

Fckng ace tho.
