I think you need to be young and a massive stoner . Not sure it would amuse me now tbh
Film is up in smoke
The man in the white suit
Passport to Pimlico
The mouse that roared
Airplane
Mr Bean the movie
Can't be bothered to rank but will throw the Naked Guns, Austin Powers, Spinal Tap and Alpha Papa in the mix.
Holy Grail
Hot Fuzz
There’s something about Mary
Life of Brian
Blackadder’s Christmas Carol
Carry On Up The Khyber
Carry On Matron
Carry On Cleo
Carry On Don’t Lose Your Head

Trading Places deffo
Hot Fuzz (best of the cornetto trilogy for me clive)
Ghostbusters
Coming to America
American Pie
South Park: bigger, longer and uncut
In all five slots
Weeeeeeeeellllllll...
no one has mentioned Anchorman yet??!
Anchorman is about as amusing as acute botulism.
Blazing Saddles
Top Secret!
40 year old virgin
Wolf of Wall Street (yes it is and it’s hilarious)
Jackass the movie purely for the golf course air horn sketch
Anchorman is comedy for people who don’t like comedy
Good Morning Vietnam
Austin Powers
Dumb and Dumber
Megamind
Blues Brothers
the princess bride
in bruges
four weddings and a funeral
bridesmaids
agree on withnail and i and hot fuzz
Some good ones already.
Honourable mention for Hot Shots Part Deux.
American Pie 2 is funnier than the first one imo, although the first is a classic of its genre.
Surprised not to see Zoolander, Wedding Crashers or Dodgeball mentioned.
Oracle has impressed me there with his In Bruges shout. You may be capable of redemption m7
1. Team America
2. The Gentlemen
3. In Bruges
4. Crazy Stupid Love
5. Snatch
Airplane!
Spinal Tap
Team America
There's Something About Mary
Clueless
Zoolander is genuinely hilarious
However, bridesmaid is a shite hangover surely?
South Park
Team America
Holy Grail
Life of Brian
Withnail & I
In Bruges is one of my favourite films ever but is it a ‘comedy’ film? Same with Withnail tbf
Used to love A Fish Called Wanda but haven’t watched it in years
Withnail is a shout, I'm replacing cheech and Chong in my 5. It's definitely a comedy
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Man with Two Brains
Ferris Bueller
When Harry Met Sally
Planes Trains and Automobiles
The Tall Guy
Mid to late 80s had some brilliant ones
Withnail
Big Lebowski
Princess Bride
Napoleon Dynamite
Ferris Bueller
Zoolander
I think Lebowski is the only one nobody has mentioned.
The word itself makes some men uncomfortable.
Clerks
Bill and Ted
Life of Brian
Spinal Tap
Best in Show
Local Hero
Withnail & I
Election
Best in Show (thanks for the reminder, goose!)
Gregory's Girl
Borat
Superbad
Liar Liar
Coming to America
Mean Girls
"Used to love A Fish Called Wanda but haven’t watched it in years"
I used to love it but it has not aged as well as many other classics from the era. Somehow the American comedy films are more timeless...
Cool Runnings
Planes trains and automobiles
Coming to America
Van Wilder is a failed comedy. The wastepaper basket scene is well done though
I’m team Anchorman. I once got a client by quoting that film at a conference. Most people looked confused, but this one guy looked at me, smiled, and slowly nodded approval.
Anchorman has some great moments, no doubt.
I think we are forgetting Prior & Wilder.
Brewster's Millions, See no Evil, Stir Crazy, Blazing Saddles all epic
Airplane! for the one-liners
Hot Fuzz
Borat (although it is too cringy to watch more than once)
Blazing Saddles has come up a few times but you remind me also of the Producers.
Young Frankenstein
Jingle All the Way
Deck the Halls
Dunston Checks In
Mousehunt
All but the first, watched over the holiday with younger family members too much merriment - not all of which was booze-induced.
Quite how YF not mentioned yet is beyond me.
I have watched several Woody Allen films multiple times and loved them, not so much recently
Love me some Woody Allen, the 70s and early 80s stuff in particular but they are all the same really. They are all about his neurosis, particularly around women.
10 Things I Hate About You
In no particular order
Blazing Saddles
Big Lebowski
Melania
Dogma (a guilty pleasure)
Life of Brian
In no particular order
Zoo lander
The Hangover
Sideways
MASH
Wedding Crashers/American Hustle
Has no one mentioned Intolerable Cruelty?
V quotable.
Election is perfection
Shout out for True Lies
About a Boy
The ‘science oven’ scene in American Hustle was hilarious (and JL’s performance was great generally).
Election flew under the radar a bit but was very funny, and quite dark.
Team America
The hangover
Cheech and Chong
Trading places
American pie
I’m going to look up cheech and chong
Trading Places
Whitnail & I
Planes Trains & Automobiles
Blazing Saddles
Groundhog Day
