Tom Watson is the amoral street-fighter type of politician.  He was happy to weaponise and promote the ridiculous sex abuse accusations against Ted Heath and various retired generals made by a fantasist who has now been prosecuted and convicted for wasting police time.   Happy to do that not because he believed the accusations but because the accused were establishment Tories.  

He is now trying belatedly to bring Labour away from a hard Brexit but you can be absolutely sure that in doing this he has only one motive - he wants what is good for Tom Watson.  The minute torturing your granny to death is good for Tom Watson he will be in favour of that, too.  

A poster child for everything that is wrong with British politics today.  The evidence is that he doesn’t care about what he says, doesn’t care about the voters, doesn’t care about the truth.  All he cares about is Tom Watson.

I just occasionally find myself thinking that he looks reasonably sane compared to the rest of his party and then I remember he's a conspiracy nut.
