Things non-lawyers don’t tell lawyers

We don’t read your work.

We don’t think about you when you’re not there.

We don’t know what you do and we don’t care.

We don’t prepare for calls with you.

We don't care when you tell us not to and are probs planning to do it anyway

We think you're overpaid and we could all do what you do

You're all dull

You're the fun police

It must be awful working in PP

You work with nerds

Your WLB doesn't exist

You make less (if at a Legal Aid firm) than a bus driver

Jeez, you spend a fifth or a quarter of your net pay on commuting fares

You are stuck in a lifestyle trap e.g. London mortgage and school fees etc

I bet you wish you could quit and do something else

Your student debts are astronomical/ more than your salary

I’m happy when my business aren’t thinking about me, it means I can RoF and go to my kid’s assembly.

Innit!

I've just had an annoying few months under an interim boss who had a vague idea of what a legal function should be doing and wanted MI and reports and shit.  Happily they've toddled off and I'm back to being left alone.
