- having a few pints in a crowded pub
- eating with family/friends squeezed around a convivial table
- flying and holidaying
- chatting to work colleagues
- going to concerts, plays, films, exhibitions
it's going to be awesome
it will happen this year

Do you genuinely think there will be concerts this year? I don't. I'd really like to, but I just can't see it.
I hope I'm wrong as I would LOVE to be in a packed concert listening to someone great. The last one I went to was Baxter Dury in Manchester and I'd pay a decent amount of wedge to fast forward to then and enjoy it knowing how much I'd miss it later.

I think many things will be back this year but not large indoor gatherings and international travel will remain problematic.

poor translation, clergs
makes it sound likes he was talking about a hope that things are real

Christ man, this is the most depressing possible version of "things to look forward to".
Let's write up a big list of all the great things we're not allowed to do.

If the next two months are a shitshow, there is absolutely no way the govt will open the taps fully. I would have thought the best you can hope for is last July and August amended to include June, rule of 6 coming in from Sept and tiering from Oct half term, unless a) the vaccines are proved completely effective in practice and b) they are proven to keep up with mutations, or the effects of the virus weaken massively.

Even with a completed vaccination programme I think they will keep the two weeks quarantine rule for holiday returnees for a good few years now.

That would cripple aviation.

- seeing real art in the flesh
- watching my kids run feral in a big pack of children
- a weekend away with girlfriends
- a weekend away with my husband while my parents look after our kids
- being at the beach & swimming in the ocean
- making PLANS

I don't really miss flying at all tbh. That's easily the worst part of a holiday
Even when you have access to fast track check in and security and lounges and flat beds it can still be tremendously boring and uncomfortable.

Please form an orderly queue for Judo's casual sex. I'm first in line.

Sails are you going to commission the SS Saillaw in which you can attack the Jolly Saillaw (similarly commissioned pirate ship sailed by your elderly folk)?

The daffodils are sprouting up in my garden. I assume they are trying to escape the wet. There are crocus tips under the oak trees and buds on the magnolia. I am looking forward to spring which will happen whether Covid relents or not.

March was lush last year and I'm sure will be this year.
Bam have a remote control tug and also a crocodile which reminds me must see what the critters in the pond make of the crocodile. I'd also like a remote control Bismarck but the one I saw was way too expensive.

“buying a round of shots and realising the night is taking a naughty turn into an all nighter”
Heh, I haven’t done this since 2012. A lot more things will have to go back to normal than covid, for this to happen again.

“the martini trolley at the Connaught”
good Lord, how London are some of you guys? And to think I got it in the neck for going for brunch on christmas day (it was great btw, definitely now a locked in element of the Lazfam Christmas routine).
