Last couple of days has taken a hammering. Assuming it's all to do with what's happening in Iran?
It will all settle down.
Mine got battered and lost about 10%, since recovered half of that. It's pretty concentrated mind you, only has 14 stocks in it and only one of them is an investment trust.
never mind your isa, how badly battered is your pension?
I’m in the optimistic camp that things will be ok by the autumn. I’ve switched out of uk and Europe a bit though
Good point about the pension!
I haven’t looked.
Makes sense. What should you do? Almost certainly precisely nothing. If you look are you more likely to do something? If yes, then don't look.
In a very rare stroke of good fortune, I had started phasing in a big investment on 23 Feb. Cant decide whether to hurry it up or slow it down 🤷🏻♀️
I might panic and start looking for a job.
Time in the pension.
Don’t want to spook my IFA unduly. He rides to hounds.
Portfolio is down 0.66 over the last week, 2.54 over the last month, 1.22 over the last three months, but up 8.1% over the last year.
A lot of the loss is driven by a significant drop in an ETF with an "ethical" mix of Hong's, which is tech heavy because of thr lack of heavy industry. Although that holding is still up 13% over three years so its still not horrific.
My pension isn't valued regularly enough to know. A big chunk of it is in unlisted assets so it's fairly stable but vulnerable to macroeconomic decline.
