I would stay at the Borrowdale youth hostel down the road, climb Scafell Pike via corridor route, drop into Langstrath from Great End, use Black Moss Pot as my spa session and then eat and drink copiously in the Langstrath Inn.

Elephant, yeah, I was kind of thinking, I would go to the Lakes/Dales OR go for a dirty weekend in a spa hotel, but I wouldn't be bothered about ticking both boxes. Have you swum in many places in the Lakes ? Black Moss Pot is amazing...
ZG if you're coming out of London, you could get to somewhere like Rudding Park a lot quicker than the Lakes (train to York then taxi), and I suppose you'd still be on the edge of the Dales if you really wanted to venture out :)
I have only swam in Windermere and waterfalls near Ambleside. Hardly wild compared to Black Moss which does look fun. Good recommendation I will try it and review.
We had a night at Gilpin before renting a holiday cottage a couple of weeks ago, not a spa room, but with a hot tub. From which you could commune with the resident lamas, Lake District safari.

I am a fan of Skidaw Mountain and this area so will recommend that. I would suggest Lyzzick Hall Hotel or some decent camping gear.

Spa wise you could just go for the day experience here. Looks like they have a pretty good outdoor pool which overlooks Derwentwoter

That pool looks fun but overall the other hotel may be a better choice. I haven’t been to this area for a while and am wondering why not.

Spa’s broke. Dropped slice o’ Parkin in t’ filter system and there’s nay watter.

I do agree Eeyore that a hike in that area is essential to really enjoy it. There is no point otherwise.
