Smallest bird in the UK

No, not the wren. The goldcrest. Ever seen one? There is one outside my home office window picking insects off the underside of the leaves of shrubs. Will see if I can get a pic through the window without scaring it. Beautiful little thing.

So ... Wang, some research and the views of another m8 of mine who is a massive birder all confirm that this was a Firecrest not a Goldcrest.

Quite something for a garden spot.

Why could only Big Bird see snuffalophagus?  He (i think it was a he but tbh i dont know how it self identified) was a giant fckg hairy mammoth!  (Poss mastodon.)

I am not sure you ever met the former roffer that styled himself stealth banana buzz.  I have a wonderful pic of him collapsed in a pyss stained doorway in amsterdam dressed in a full on big bird cossie swilling from a bottle of sambucca.  stag do obv.

the following night (meant to be a more restrained meal type affair) he was refused service in the bar because (and i quote the barmaid) "you muthafckrs i have to stay until 5am vacuuming fckng yellow feathers"...

he married a roffette

I am impressed, Mutters. It's all tits and goldfinches around here. And loads of owls and red kites, although we never see the former.

As for Wang's news, I need a lie down. And a drink. Possibly not in that order.
