I’m glad you asked, Benj. It’s entirely my innovation. You buy a device that you plug into a wall socket.
It has a cable coming from the wall-end plug and a plastic rectangle on the end – which has FOUR plug sockets in.
You then take the power of 1 plug socket and use it to generate FOUR plugs’ worth of power.
If the wall socket fails, that results in one of the four on your rectangle generator failing (one for one!), but (and here's the science/math - FOUR minus ONE equals THREE!), so you still have THREE working.
It’s a genius idea, and I hope no-one else thinks to invent it first!
