Rof trouser survey

Has high fashion infiltrated Rof or are we still swanning about in traditional mustard cords?

So do your trousers finish above your ankle?  If so, how far and how many inches of sock are on display?

Me: Trousers break just on top of my shoes and 0 inches of sock visible.

I was in Eastern Europe recently in the middle of winter and there were twots doing the whole ankle display thing.

Still, at least they are easy to spot for purging purposes.

My best suits are properly hemmed with a bit of drop at the heel (but still with a half break at the front).

My ankles are beautiful but, like a properly presented embonpoint, not for everyone's eyes.

What sails said , it looks utterly ridiculous. Worse still I now see it in the work place . Trouser hem 2 inches higher than it should be , albeit with socks , and super tight fitted matador style suit jacket .

it is mainly however , bank staff , super market managers, and estate agents . Seen a  few very junior barristers clerks rocking that look

Bare feet in shoes with even a partial leather lining is just clammy and horrible.

It's fine wearing no show socks if it's the summer and you're wearing say trainers and shorts.

Drives me nuts. Worn by tOssers. Without exception.

You’re not an Edwardian gentplaying golf, there’s no call for plus fours. Looks ridiculous.

Ditto turn-ups.

Tarquin it means that the hem of your trousers also has piece of material around the bottom of the inside of your trouser leg that helps to weight the bottom of your trouser leg and keep it open and protect the material of your suit from rubbing on your shoes.  A half break means there is just a slight crease in the front of your trouser leg where the material is resting lightly on the top of your shoe.
