It's fooking great tbh (in the context of London transport obviously). Clean, fast trains, pretty much always get a seat. Takes 20 mins, not a lot not to like.
Yeah but there are only 2 fast trains an hour, at commute time unless you want to get the stopping service which takes an incredible 59 minutes.
I have been travelling a lot of late from places like feltham ( don't ask) it is a real shiit hole, and no matter what time of day trains always cancelled or 10/15 minutes late. Also Twickenham seems to beset by the same problems.
Res, if the slow train is taking you 59 minutes you're going in the wrong direction round the loop. It takes less than 30 minutes on the slow train and in any event there at peak morning times about 9 trains an hour which take less than 25 minutes.
Are you looking at a timetable from the mid 19th century or something?
Yes, 5 fast trains an hour and the slow trains takes less than 30 mins from Richmond to Waterloo. Of course if you do go the wrong way round the loop via Kingston and Wimbledon it will take ages much in the same way that going from Uxbridge to Rickmansworth on the M25 wouldn't be much fun if you decided to do it anticlockwise.

I can see that thousands of braying types in Barbours might be annoying, but you can hardly blame it on the Railways tbf
