I feel awful, temperature of 102, aches and pains all over, I feel cold 1 minute and roasting the next . I’ve had about 2 hours sleep and full of lempsip , and paracetamol yet still feel shite .
any clues as to what I can do to make me feel better and reduce my horrid fever .

you can take ibuprofen on top of paracetamol
just take to your bed with a cold flannel and wait it out

but to actually answer the question, for stuff like this, the only thing I find works is paracetamol for fever and sleep.

Zero I didn’t, it want me . Oh and I have an awful cough, mainly throaty and wheezing chest . It’s the lack of sleep that doesn’t help

I’ve lost count how many paracetamol I’ve taken,ditto strepsils . Apparently I should take regular Luke warm baths . Yeah right I don’t have the energy to even walk to the loo hardly.
im thinking small bottle of brandy to knock myself out ?

Another day or two and you'll be so exhausted you'll sleep anyway and then after 14 hours you'll wake up feeling better.

Tbh 102 is not that high (I've managed 105) but bad enough to make you feel shite. Keep on going with the paracetemol but don't overdose and drink plenty of fluids.

More than 8 x 500mg of paracetamol in 24 hours is going to exceed the LD50 amount so don’t do it. People forget that it’s so bloody dangerous just because they can buy it everywhere.

Gwen the body temperature is 98 so 102 is very high , like you I’ve been to 105 a few times in my teens and was hospitalised.
i just phoned 111 and they said I’f not improved by tomorrow go to GP and if temp increases to103/104 call ambulance

OP I've had the same thing. My temp was 103 on Sunday and has reduced now to 101. I'm on amoxicillin (prescription) and ibuprofen. Basically just relax and take everything slowly.
