Property rental adverts that require professionals only

I am amazed agents can get away with this nowadays, any other idea what it means or what the agent thinks it means ? Does it preclude plumbers, hairdressers, and chefs ,etc?

There’s logic to this.

Most professionals will be regulated in some way in their job.

We all know that the long arm of the regulator can impinge into your private life, so I would guess that most professionals will be innately more ‘repsonsible’ as a tenant than eg. Self employed labourer.

I thought the only professions were law, medicine and the clergy.

Or at least that’s what I tell my wife when I want to piss her off about teachers not being professionals..
