I hope we go back in within 15 years time but I’m afraid of our fading collective memory. Currently we all remember what it was like before Brexit and how much better it was but that will fade over time. Maybe in 15 years we will have just accepted being out because we’ve forgotten how much better it used to be in the EU.

The reason we joined in the first place is because we were in an economic disaster zone and Europe was roflstomping us. That's the same reason we will rejoin. First the CU and SM and then all the way in. 

Anyone still claiming leave was a good idea will be in Gaol or dead by the next referendum. 

Unfortunately think chill is right and if anything far too optimistic about what is to come. Can't see us getting back in - as why would they let us? Any economic benefits for the EU must be outweighed by letting us stew in our own failures.

Whether it’s 5 or 15 it’s still completely depressing how brexity the country will still be. Freedom of movement ffs why do you think the economy is fvcked? Because Blighty can’t cope with the reality of what it needs to function like an adult. And as every year goes by, more inequality gets baked into society, more illiberalism engrained, more white privilege in the shires and worse ghettoes in the cities. Less meaningful contact with abroad culturally.
