Pensioners in Portuguese jail

Tragic miscarriage of justice.

"It is not the first time the couple, originally from Chatham, Kent, have found themselves behind bars.

They were arrested in Norway in 2010 as they tried to smuggle 240 kilos of cannabis into Oslo.

After serving their sentences Susan and former chef Roger moved to a villa in Guardamar on Spain’s Costa Blanca and enjoyed a comfortable life"

I was rather hoping someone wouldn’t give it away in the first response so others could enjoy the twist but since you have,

“Being branded an international drugs smuggler makes me sad.”

I mean obviously being guilty of a crime doesn't make you guilty of all the crimes ever but the "take these suitcases of goods back to England and sell them to Harrods but don't look in them obvs" is such a bad excuse that I actually think they could just be criminally stupid

This is like something from the anti-money laundering class at Law School.

If someone in a country where drug dealing and cultivation are prevalent gives you a suitcase to carry home in return for a wodge of cash do you:

(a) say yes certainly my friend always glad to do someone a favour;

(b) ask for more cash;

(c) politely decline and run for the hills.
