Is the Olympics peak TV?

Sport bosses all else.

And I'd say the Olympics bosses all sport.

They should have one every year.

I'm watching some freestyle synchronised swimming on catch-up and it's the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. Incredible athleticism but totally stupid and incredibly camp.

Olympics TV is basically for saddoes that don't actually like any other sport 'enough' to follow it intently.

Exception being of course unless it is being held, like 2012, at home.

I'm watching far more cricket and rugby at the moment.

The Olympics are whack. Way more excited about the Lions tour currently, for example. That is the pinnacle of rugby. Even though the rugby has actually been a bit crap.

The end of the rugby premiership season was an unbelievable spectacle. Quins coming back from 28-0 down at HT, the greatest comeback ever seen... And the final was insanely entertaining, probably the best final ever. Even as a neutral, team sport events like that far surpass any excitement you can get from the Olympics.

See also Ben Stokes performance in quite unbelievably winning the cricket world cup. And obvs the Euros.

Also what MH said. You just get a load of middle aged weirdos saying "oh I've really been enjoying the Olympics actually, so exciting" which is fine but peak sporting entertainment, it is not.
