Oh. My. God.

I was on a call and someone suggested the word "feedback" should not be used.

We should call it "feed forward" as this is more positive.

I see. That's how it's going to be is it?

Let us bow our heads in brief acknowledgement of the passing of a world and the birth of another. We move from strained normality to loony hell.

In the next call with them, double down and remake the English language according to the breezy alternate reality of your choosing.

Be sure to report back on your linguistic innovations.

One of the reasons I bowed out of law firm BD/Marketing.after years of doing it There is so much money sloshing around those places that they are an obvious target for every conman under the sun.

We had one chancer who got the ear of our Managing Partner and said he was a marketing guru and could come in and restructure everything.

The Managing Partner, being savvy, involved me and said 'Do you want to tell him to feck off or should I?'

He was very good at letting people down gently. How did it feel, Chambo?

I think you were at the same firm Muttley. I did the feck off duties, many times. In a nice way, of course, but tiresome.

Same complete jizzspeak is being spaffed around in communications today.

I learn that maybe we should not be using various words in our personal developmental lexicon for fear of offence.

  • EQ is not an acceptable term as it risks being discriminatory against those in the workplace with certain autism spectrum disorders.

Right ho.  (oh, hang on. Scrub that. Probably the word "right" is too political and "ho" is not respectful of sex workers. Scrub also verboten. Dang this is hard. This is a hard one, uh-oh, #metoo. Dang sounds like dong. Hard one sounds like hard-on.  You raging and utter manbastard)

  • Anyway, ahem. Also we are not supposed to be talking about "soft skills" as this suggests they are easy to master and that will denigrate those who find them difficult.
  • Nor should these be called "inter-personal skills" as that suggests all sorts of inappropriate engagement levels.
  • If not soft skills because they are in fact hard then certainly not "hard skills" as that is tumescently offensive. Penis penis everywhere but not a drop to drink.

Listen up everyone. We The People must call them "the complementary skillset".

This just reminds me of the Generation Game conveyor belt.  "A set of decanters and complementary wine glasses".

With my complementary skillset, I divine this to be turd production of the highest order.

I have suggested that, in my house, blowjobs be called blowfuns, or at least funjobs or blowworklifebalances.

A lot less negative.

I asked HR how it all made them,"feel", with a smile. Then my eyebrow moved just a tad perceptibly. It made the word feel immediately filthy. All was lost.

Blowfun sounds like something you'd do with a spliff or possibIy a faux benign name for an extraordinarily destructive air to air missile system.

BTW, thanks for engaging but the reason you're not getting any is not because of the negativity of the term. You could paint a clown face on it with lipstick and put a ginger curly wig over the top, and yet still this would not move the blowfun needle. Just saying.

I had a boss that stated we were not allowed to use the terms 'good' or 'bad', just 'good' and 'less good'

and this was about 15 years ago.

this kind of twat has always existed. many better examples of the world going to hell in handcart

Let's make a rock n roll hall of fame of it. In ascending order of commitment/choreography:

Blowdiddly

Oh Blow Di, Oh Blow Da

Hey blow where you goin with that gun in your hand?

Blow blow, blow blow blow blow, blow blow blow blow, blow blow there's no limit

Muttley, your reaction shows a failure to consider other people's icebergs. some remedial soft skills training sounds in order
