No car is better than a bad car

Many a true word is spake in jest

Well.  That’s thirty seconds of content skimming I won’t get back.

If someone wishes to make a point, just fooking make it, don’t meander around like a room full of gibbons trying to come up with Shakespeare.

Well it’s not true.  For instance, if you have a bad car you can make a bonfire out of it, or use it to sleep in, or keep chickens in it.

You cannot keep chickens in no car.

the phrase is “many a true word is spoken in jest”

or similar

it cannot be “is spake”, because “spake” is past tense, not the past participle. the word “spake” is the same as “spoke” (as a verb, not part of a wheel)

if you want to try to sound clever when you don’t know your grammar, have the good grace to google the answer. otherwise it just sounds bizarre, and draws attention to ignorance
