even as the town warms up for friday night, the pub is mostly full of people sitting at tables in ones or twos, not talking much, just enjoying the good beer

gr88 stuff

I have my nose in some academic sports history tracts ofc

Dilwyn Porter (2018) 'Opportunistic, Parasitic, Strategic, Symbiotic:Entrepreneurship and the Business of Sport', The International Journal of the History of Sport, 35:7-8, 641-658

I went to a local home town pub once. One of the old locals said  'i remember thee rugby lad, I heard you got sent down, got out now then, what did tha do?' 'Ave a pint anyway'.

I've been in America I replied.

Oh aye, that Disneyland,  We're takin' t' nippers next year.

Have fun I said.
