Sunday long walk thru town with girl, flea market

My entire weekend consisted of pottering about at home, doing house things, baking and cooking things and gardening lots. Plus lots of garden planning. We have been ignoring it and it's in need of some TLC. We had a gardener do some work on it last year but it's a very difficult layout with very difficult heavy clay soil, so I have been researching plants that enjoy that sort of soil type and have done  lots of weeding and hopefully we are on our way to getting things sorted. Although I know with gardens it's a slow process. It's also quite nice to just be outside.

I think this is all a by-product of quitting social meeeeja.

Hello doggers and lovely people!

My weekend started with Friday night drinks with friends and colleagues who are always a good laugh.

Saturday morning was a sleep-in then walking the dog down the river followed by home made bacon & egg rolls for brunch. On Saturday afternoon we went to the Animal expo hoping to see the working dog rescue people as we are looking to provide a home for another dog. Sadly they weren't there this time but we were surrounded by all sorts of animals.

I took my dog to her usual Sunday morning dog training classes which is a lovely community of dogs and their owners, then did domestica and chilled Sunday night.

Not at all bad, had some quiet time with the girlfriend, played a bit of Xbox, did some roffing, did some laundry, found a cuff link organiser that I had feared I lost.  Ate two sausage sandwiches.  Started putting my summer tackle together as going out pier fishing soon so I switch from the savage gear roadrunner to the webbing.  Actually got a few bits and bobs done.

Bad stuff: had my last flat iron steak, need to order more from Donald russel.

Kid stuff overdose. Mini Fun Fair in Wimbledon park. Staring at cars/trains/monstertrucks/bumper cars with a squeaking Red in 'em for an hour following by what seemed like another hour of bouncy castle and trampoline fun. Came away with an exhausted 4 year old.

Two hyperactive 4 year old boys running amok in the house yesterday. We thought we'd cool them off in the pool but after an hour of swimming they still wanted more playtime. Chomped through the entire popcorn, fruit and cake stash, followed by almost an entire pizza. Woke Red up this morning and he was still in the same position he was when I turned off his light yesterday evening. He does have a strange rash on his tummy though.
