I have had Covid, and I plausibly know about 12 who have (three families). Some individuals did not have significant symptoms, but if you are living with someone with Covid it is damn hear certain you have it too.
None of us was tested, not even one who is a doctor.

They are still posting numbers in the 20s for new deaths every day. The true figure in poor countries is likely to be much higher. Ecuador, for example is reporting similar-ish figures, and yet there are bodies being dumped on the streets of Guyaquil.
The situation with Iran is that its only reporting coroner confirmed Covid-19 deaths. The true death toll given their woeful infrastructure, and clear under-reporting is going to be anywhere from 2 to 10 times higher.
God only knows what must be going on in India, Africa etc.
Covid-19 could easily be killing 50,000 to 100,000 people a day worldwide right now.
The suggestion that the UK could have copied Singapore is preposterous, you couldn’t really get more different places in terms of population size, governmental control etc. Japan don’t seem to be doing brilliantly at the moment but let’s see.

You’d be fooking lucky if the South African authorities even picked up your corpse within a week. Let alone bothering to work out why you died

Our death figures are right, death data is quite stringently recorded by the ONS. The "live" figures are maybe a bit out, but not materially.
