Manchehster Citheh

absolutely smashes by the toon tonight.

Fraudiola completely exposed by the master tactician

There is nothing flukey about Newcastle having the 6th best defence in the league despite it costing less to assemble than Man City spend on a 17 yr old right backs annual wage

Quietly amusing as it is to see pep taken down a peg by the most unlikely of opposition, it was a bit flukey.

Really unexpected and it does rather give the scousers a chance to get properly excited.  Don't blame them, it's a great place to be and their run in is far less painful than Citeh's.

But well done the toon, hopefully this will give the players something to believe in and see if they can claw their way out of trouble.

How exactly was it flukey? I barely remember our keeper needing to make a save in the second half? It wasn't like they were rattling the post, having shots cleared off the line non stop etc.

Yes they dominated possession, as you would expect giving their talents but the win was due to Newcastle defending well, forcing City into making mistakes and taking our chances when they came.

They were pedestrian on the ball, they were trying stupid tikki takka nonsense the whole time and their wingers/wingbacks whatever they are supposed to be didn't get in behind the Newcastle defence anywhere near enough.

Its flakey because you caught them and beat them fairly on a day when they just did not properly turn up.  Most unusual for them and you took full advantage.

The match actually reminded me of the 2012 Barca v Chelsea semifinal where they had all the possession and we just rope-a-doped them into conceding.  I think we had the same number of chances and shots that night as you did last night lol.

And I refer to that match as a flukey win as well.
