Job references

Right, being on the other side is a little odd. 

Questions:

  1. under what circumstances do you provide a reference? 
  2. how many questions are you asked about the candidate (via email)?
  3. under what circumstances do you ask the candidate to write their own reference?
  4. when do you think the future employer is paranoid?
  5. under what circumstances are your references negative?

4. if they ask whether the employee has ever done class a drugs

5. never

Just for context, 15 detailed questions requiring detailed answers is a bit much.. right?
