Does your firm partake in this, and what sports. I used to work at a place that did the law firm football league thing. FFS, some firms were so competitive and took it so seriously they would field proper ringers.
q: So mate you are at CC, what do you do?
a: Lawyer
q: Nice, what type?
a) Probate, conveyancing, litigations lawyer
a: Ah nice
few weeks later, and post match beers sunk, " Mate I will be honest I am a trainee sparky, and was let go by Fulham aged 21, having only played 20 mins of a first team game and a few reserve games. My brother is a solicitor dunno what law. Well I never!
The big city firms were the worst for this.

We didn't have any ringers at my old shop, but we did have a number of lads who were uni 1st XI and ex academy players

Go watch the Law Society rugby sevens if you want to see ringers in action.

My firm are not in a league, but will regularly play in "BD" tournaments which consist of us and 5 of our competitor firms all deliberately losing to the source of referral finance biz that are hosting it

I played for the second team as a first reserve. The first team were insane and won the BUCS premiership league twice back to back. Two of them had genuine attempts as making it as a pro, with both of the having won scholarships at the Bollateri academy, and both having played on the futures/challenger tour.
Not sure if this counts as being a ringer but they both ended up on the Tennis team for their MC firms
