Indicative Votes

We will never get anything agreed will we?  They've proved the old bag right.

That's it?!!  No wonder they all behave like a bunch of overgrown over-privileged children.  If there are no sanctions there will be no incentive for them to behave.

He can kick them out until the end of the day but that almost never happens.

Naming them for discipline leads to a vote on suspending them, not sure how long the sanctions are tbh but it’s not that long.

Old Dennis Skinner has been named and suspended like 10 times or something.

Just a thought, it’s so difficult to discipline them probably because if he does so he disenfranchises the constituents in terms of their representation in debates and votes.  So that’s why it’s such a big deal.

All it really shows is how silly it was to have a 2 option vote on leaving the EU.  Far too simplistic and one of the main reasons I voted to remain (ie cos it’s (too much of a) a ballache to leave).

Maybe it would be an incentive to vote for better MPs?

Incidentally, how do you reply to someone's comment with the line down the side?

I said, like a couple or here or so there will be no majority or near majority for anything, and so it proved. The greatest appetite was for a second ref, which for sure TMPM et al will not allow.Given all that, and the fact that Bercow says he will not allow a 3rrd attempt at TMPS deal, I assume it is a extension( for which there is little parlimentary apetite, or no deal) Any other likely outcomes?

Regardless, wiill TMPM dig her heels in if she doesn't get MV3, or it fails, and stay on. I suspect she will. She is after all a stuborn woman as she keeps reminding us?

Like this?

There are quote marks in the tool bar. Click those, paste comment in the top line then hit the enter key on the invisible line just under the quote.

AH HAH HA HA HA HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH

what a fvcking farce.

I can only assume that either may's deal passes or we crash out in spectacular style by the function of law.

Those of you surprised by MP behaviour must have seen this before, right? It’s got nothing to do with the current crop of MPs, it’s been like this literally since Parliament was invented

I pity the poor SNP sod banging on about sub post offices after all that. Actually it’s always the SNP who seem to spend the most time in the Commons when the others have fooked off.

Bercow v clear that deal cannot be brought back for vote. Lots pointing out that some votes tonight got more traction than the deal anyway so maybe there will be more consensus on Monday’s debate.

Ach whatever. Going to bed

It’s pretty normal for a big debate.  The thing that is annoying people who don’t follow policy papers is that despite Bercow’s ruling about MV3 there will be a continuance debate about the “best” of the results of the 8 offers held on Monday which will potentially be subject to a further vote.

However, the house clearly passed that motion as part of a 2 stage deal, so it’s a completely different kettle of fish.  The votes tonight were just to whittle down the runners and riders to a sensible number for debate on Monday.
