And yes Brexit is toxic because it was decided in a referendum. People vs politicians and each other. The PM and her stupid red lines inflamed the situation. A customs union takes us back onto middle ground, where we should have been from the start.
If we end up with a form of Brexit that doesn't please any of the people who voted for it (and they say it's a remain stitch up) then there is literally no point in leaving.

The long term message of this execrable farce is that British politics is badly damaged and in need of serious reform.
One important issue is the very low quality of the present crop of MPs. Thick, ignorant, venal, emotional, incapable of analysis or critical thinking, inclined to dismiss complex problems with simple slogans, monoglot, under-travelled, inexperienced and absolutely dedicated to self, then party with no regard at all for the national interest. It is absurd that people like this govern a society like modern Britain.
It's not the same for very obvious reasons and I think the country should be given the opportunity to rethink its decision given the events of the last three years.

If we aren't willing to let that happen (and we shouldn't be) then those people should effectively be removed from the equation. What does a majority of the non insane population want to do.
