If Chambers and Sails jointly published a book of anecdotes, would anyone else buy a copy?

I think the best format would be to alternate between them. Instead of giving the first half of the book to Chambers and the second half to Sails.

By alternating, you’re not running the risk of ODing on sailing stories, or anecdotes about the management structures of London-based law firms c.1995-2005.

Ultimately, I’m looking at building the characters behind the people with a view to pitching a buddy movie to Hollywood. That’s where the big bucks are.

Or the old skool Friday thread with this gem:

Friday afternoon challenge, yes. Wang did one once where it said draw a cartoon animal.

My daughter drew a brilliant cartoon cat which Wang ignored. She was in tears (only seven or so). That was better than any of those winners, she said.

I said to her don't worry. he's a nasty man.

And it was.

Adam Sandler to play me in the film please as apparently he bears a passing resemblance.

Definitely need photos of my sailing glory days from the early 2000’s when I was tanned and ripped.

This is a great idea. The book should only be available for sale over the bar at The Drummond and orders placed never actually paid for and honoured. Keep it fully Chambo 'Salt-o-th'Earth-Yorkshire-gone-Surrey' khuntstyle.

The wang challenge / crying daughter anecdote above is probably Chambo's best ever! It actually made me smile and was very. very slightly droll. It was about one tenth the length of Shooty's extraordinarily mundane tale of how he once saw (didn't meet) his future father in law before they knew one another.

Shooty still holds this week's prize.
