If you had a job x which paid y and requires 1800 hours.
And job a which paid y+£20k and requires 1800 hours.
But job x is more interesting than job a.
But job a has better prospects of equity and GC roles than job x.
Which job would you do? Please show workings.

I have done job X a couple of times, and it has lead to leap-frogging past job A. I dgaf about equity so that's easy.

More like 200+£20k, but also probably 20k more on the bonus end as well - so 40k total. But bonuses are ballaches and you can leave mid-year and not get it.

Once you hit 200k your life doesn't change with 20k or even 40k.
If it was 30k plus 20k then absolutely.
Think the research shows that quality of life increases rapidly level out once you earn 42k.

My understanding is that it all ended rather well for Faustus. He made a demon his b1tch, went around the world banging hot chicks, knocked one up, and then she spoke to God to pardon him, and he then pulled the middle finger up to Satan and went off to heaven.

True 20 or 40 on 200 won't change your life but it's worth having particularly on a compounded basis. Once into additional rate tax, you really need to start thinking net. A job move should bring a 20% net increase I think unless you are simply running away from something shit.
