Second referendum I think

If we’re going to have Brexit at all, then the May deal was fairly tolerable to me, so if it happens that’ll be ok. A second referendum would be a good outcome from the point of view of a reasonable Remainer - a fair shot at a remain outcome or, if we do leave, a fairly soft landing.

the best part of the May deal is the two year transition period we all get to fook off to somewhere else in the EU

Do you think Bozza would prefer to let the Commons block the deal and then blame it in a GE, or concede a 2nd ref to get it through.

Personally I think he and the Tories would be better of with the former.  

Me too, and I think this is one reason Parliament may force him to eat a second referendum.

He doesn't want a referendum. If he loses a ref (not certain but more likely than losing a GE) then he will lose a GE that follows it. 

How would they force him?  Take control of the order paper and propose primary 2nd ref legislation?  I don't think there is a majority for that.  They'd want Bozza to own it.

Labour’s official policy is to hold a second referendum so I think they will make that a condition of passing the new deal, and I think the tories will accept it, especially if the DUP are not supporting it.

Why would the Tories accept it when the alternative is blaming them for blocking Brexit at a GE?

If DUP don't support the deal, we are surely heading for a second referendum.

Basically this deal will probably squeeze through even without DUP. Labour Leavers will vote for it. The Tory 21 will vote for it. Tbh with a bit of pork and some threats, the DUP will probably recognise the game is up and vote for it. Will be very close though.

Except that the DUP have issued a categorical statement saying they will not support it.... They cannot row back from that.
